Dear Friend,

After sleeping, the next thing we spend most of our time on over the course of our lifetime is work. For many of us this means over 95,000 hours… by the time we reach age 46!

girl looking at clockAre you enjoying those precious hours or do you feel like they’re going down the drain?

Can you relate to any of these situations…?

I dread Sundays because I have to go work on Monday.
I dream about what it would be like to want to go to work instead of having to go to work.
I’m afraid to make a move.
I had a job I loved, but I’m a victim of downsizing and need a new job now.
I know what I’d love to do but don’t know where to begin.
I need to update my resume, but don’t even know where it is.
Every time my boss walks by my desk, I know I want OUT!
I’ve been in this job for 10 plus years – what else could I possibly do?
I’m tired of performance reviews that only point out my weaknesses and not my strengths.
I can’t remember the last time it felt like my work made a difference to someone, anyone…
I daydream about a new career but don’t know which one is right for me. I’m just not sure what I have to offer.
I’d love to change careers, but my salary and benefits are a ball and chain forcing me to stay put
It’s been so long since I had an interview I don’t have a clue what to say

If you can relate to any of these scenarios then you don’t want to miss

Is a Career Change Possible in Today’s Economy?

Surveys indicate that about 80% of people are unhappy in their jobs. If you’re frustrated about your career – or lack of one – you’re definitely not alone.

Then there are many of us who wonder if there really is such a thing as job security anymore? Maybe you’re worried and know it’s time to get started on a Plan B. Hopefully, you will never need it… but your best bet is to be prepared for whatever the job market brings.

Changing careers or jobs can be scary for many reasons, especially when you’ve been in your career for a long time and don’t have a roadmap to get started.

trapped business womanSo, does this mean you should just hang-on to what you have or settle for the first decent job offer?

No! Here’s why:

We both asked ourselves…

How did this happen? How did we get here? How do we get out of here?
What else can we do? How do we pay our bills?

All that has changed. We found the freedom and fulfillment in careers we
love and we want to help you have that chance too.

Here’s our career change stories…

Karen’s career story:

Karen Batchelor One day, I was sitting in my nice corporate office contemplating a career path that looked incredible on paper. I had practiced law and was a senior executive. I was climbing the proverbial ladder of success. But on that day I felt like there was a plastic bag over my head and I was suffocating. All of a sudden it hit me “Oh (expletive deleted) — wrong ladder!”

Even though I had the image and seductive trappings of success, I wasn’t living in sync with my life values. So with a courage I didn’t think I had in me, I climbed down that ladder and headed off in search of the life I truly wanted. You might say I discovered my “career DNA”! I knew I was on the right career path when I found professional coaching. It allows me to make a difference by helping others –like you- achieve transformational career and life makeovers.

Ellyn’s career story:

Ellyn Enisman Career and life transitions aren’t new to me. I’ve had four different careers and experienced several life transitions. In fact one of my career transitions was not by choice. I understand the fear, frustration, panic, and challenges of moving forward. I’ve also experienced how a roadmap with planning and strategy can make all the difference. I’ve found a way to do what I love....helping people like you, transition careers and life.

I started my career as an accountant and two years later found my way into the staffing industry where I began recruiting, interviewing and finding permanent and temporary jobs for accounting and finance professionals. I spent the next 20 in this industry, moving into a senior executive position and playing an important role in the growth and development of this firm from one small office into a national company. When a life transition happened, I made the move into corporate recruiting with a top-tier global bank. Then, another life transition came and I decided it was time to utilize my knowledge, skill, and abilities to do what I love and what I know I do best: Coach others through career and life transitions.

Yes, there is a way. Yes, there is a formula. Yes, there is a roadmap.

We discovered our “dream” jobs and you can too!
